Role: Systems & UI Programmer#
Choo Choo Boom Boom was made within the Game Studio @ Champlain College. This was the culmination of our efforts throughout the previous years at Champlain, and was made as our capstone project. I worked on some of the core gun systems including the sought after BFRG, as well as most of the core interface programming.
What is Choo Choo Boom Boom?#
Choo Choo Boom Boom stems from the idea of a literal on-rails shooter. What if you were a train, with a gun, that fights an otherworldly entity?
Our team had conceptualized other ideas early on the development process for this game, such as one of the prototypes that I ended up working on, a game where you were a diver who would dive from ridiciously high heights. Choo Choo Boom Boom stood out as a project that had potential, and the team at In Scope Studio certainly wanted to prove it’s worth. Through rigorous development, the game made it throught the arduous greenlighting process, which kicked off the Spring production.
How can I play Choo Choo Boom Boom?#
The game will be releasing on Steam on May 1st, and is participating in the annual Game Studio Senior Show!
